AMMAGENOMICS Lab do a lot of Gut Microbiome tests and noticed that most of them have very low lactobacillus levels. Everyone said they consume everyday yoghurt, prebiotics, and probiotics food. We were wondering then why was it still low.
So, we did research on yoghurt and the results were shocking. We were interested to know which was better – Yogurt made from Organic or Non-organic Milk! For our research, we bought yoghurt from Jayadeep, a farmer in Kannur who had a traditional cow whose milk had the highest Polyphenol and good healthy bacteria. The yoghurt made from it had a high level of good bacteria Lactobacillus Crispatus.
For the study, we bought a packet of organic milk and non-organic milk. We took an equal quantity of both milk, boiled them, added Jayadeep’s yoghurt culture and made yoghurt.
After Day-1, Crispatus alone grew well in organic milk whereas it grew less in non-organic milk. Also, the bad bacteria grew less in organic milk and more in non-organic milk.
On Day-2, we found that the yeast started to increase in both, but it was a lot more in the non-organic milk, and we found out that those cows may be fed with animal feed whereas organic milk from grass-fed cows did not have that effect.
The results clearly imply that consuming organic yoghurt increases lactobacillus levels in our Gut.
His curd has a high level of Lactobacillus Crispatus. If this healthy bacterium is present in a female vaginal tract, they will not have any urinary tract infections or infertility problems. They will have an easy full-term pregnancy and have a normal delivery.
Much research shows that if Lactobacillus Iners is present more in a female vaginal tract, they will have many infertility issues, delayed pregnancy, and a high possibility of having a premature baby, etc. Ladies who had low Lactobacillus Crispatus using this yoghurt can increase the Crispatus level.
One important thing that is conveyed is, no matter if we are regularly consuming probiotics, prebiotics, commercial supplements, or curd and yoghurt, that alone is not enough. We need a good medium like good milk. That’s why yogurt made from Organic milk is better than Non-organic Milk.
In the same way our Gut is also like milk, if we have good bacteria then any type of good food we eat, good bacteria grow. If our Gut is more with bad bacteria, then any food we eat that will become food for bad bacteria. So, our Gut should always be very clean and healthy.
At AMMAGENOMICS we offer PCR-based tests to detect A1/A2 milk, buffalo milk, chemically formulated milk and all kinds of curd and yogurt and give results in a quick turnaround time.
Test your milk before you consume!
